Food Access
Find Healthy, Affordable Local Food
Everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy the healthy and affordable foods local farmers provide. We work to ensure that Montanans have equitable food access through educational programs demonstrating the advantages of eating locally, support of local farmers markets, and programs to enhance fresh food affordability for Montanans.
Double SNAP Dollars
This program helps Montana SNAP customers stretch their food budgets to afford more fresh, local foods by providing a one-to-one match for every dollar of SNAP benefits spent at participating locations.
Montana Produce Prescription Collaborative
Eligible patients receive healthy food prescriptions from their healthcare providers to spend on fruits, vegetables, and cultural foods at partnering local farmers markets, food banks, or retail outlets.
Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program
Eligible Montana seniors receive $48 in coupons to purchase Montana grown fruits, vegetables, and raw honey from almost 200 local farms at 30 farmers markets.
