Food Access
Find Healthy, Affordable Local Food
Everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy the healthy and affordable foods local farmers provide. We work to ensure that Montanans have equitable food access through educational programs demonstrating the advantages of eating locally, support of local farmers markets, and programs to enhance fresh food affordability for Montanans.
Double SNAP Dollars
This program helps low-income Montanans afford more fresh, local foods by providing a one-to-one match for every dollar of SNAP benefits spent at participating locations.
Montana Produce Prescription Collaborative
Eligible patients receive vouchers from their healthcare providers to spend on fruits and vegetables purchased at partnering local farmers markets, food banks, or retail outlets.
Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program
Low-income Montana seniors receive $50 in coupons to purchase Montana grown fruits, vegetables, and raw honey at almost 200 local farms and 30 farmers markets.
