About
Farm Connect Montana’s Mission
Our mission is to grow a healthy local food community by conserving farmland, supporting farmers, and making food accessible for all.
Our Vision
Farm Connect Montana believes in a Montana where houses, farms, and ranches thrive together; people are well-fed and food secure; family farms are supported within a community food system; and beginning farmers and ranchers can access agricultural land to feed the rest of us!
Donate
Your support enables Farm Connect Montana to strengthen Montana’s food system by protecting farmland, supporting farmers and ranchers, and enhancing healthy local food access for all.
Staff & Board
Farm Connect Montana benefits from the leadership of an energetic staff and enthusiastic board. They work with program partners around the state of Montana to connect Montanans with local food and farm connections.
LaLonde Ranch
This historic ranch, originally settled in 1877, still includes the original home and barns, and an intact orchard. The now seven-acre property provides Farm Connect Montana with space for hands-on training and workshops, and reminds visitors of agriculture’s role in Missoula Valley.
Employment
We envision a food system that embraces food justice and sovereignty for all people. Our staff, board, and program participants come from all different backgrounds and walks of life, and actively work toward dismantling racism and inequity. See the Employment page for current openings.
