Small Ag Land Protection Program

Farm Connect Montana is working alongside Missoula County to pilot a new small ag land conservation program (100 acres or less on average) to protect farmland parcels with a “conservation servitude” (legal name). This voluntary conservation tool allows landowners to protect their farmland into the future through a binding agreement with Missoula County and Farm Connect that runs with the land through each landowner succession.
